Whether working in words, pixels, or mixed media, I am drawn to themes of balance and transformation.

When creating collage and mixed media I generally seek to balance color, shapes, and textures into a cohesive whole. Likewise my photographic subjects tend towards natural and architectual structures and patterns that demonstrate symmetry or organic balance.

Transformation is prevalent in the objects I alter. Using a variety of media I convert everyday items into objects for contemplation and conversation.

Recently more political themes have entered my collage and mixed media pieces and I have ventured into the world of zines, which allows me to combine words, formatting, and images to express social, cultural, and political ideas.
