Early Work

B & W
While in college I took Photography. This was back in the day when we learned not only how to shoot, but also develop our own film. The University of Arizona had a really amazing photo lab. These are photos from that class where I shot and developed my own pictures. I was interested in women with tattoos, music, and motorcycles. I was particularly interested in the stories about the tattoos. One of my friends was an avowed biker  and wheel chair bound. She was also Phi Theta Kappa. Another was my lover at the time, the guitar and motorcycle symbols of her life. My other subject was a working musician in Tucson. These black and white images reflect my interests of the time. When the photos were exhibited I told these women’s stories. Those placards have since been lost. What remains are these humble images.
